Almost every supplement brand advertises with the promise of being "laboratory tested" or "certified". But if you ask for the actual test results, you usually only get evasive answers or general statements. Rebuilt Performance takes a different approach: We publish all laboratory tests fully and publicly – because you have a right to know what you consume daily.
What "tested" really means (and what brands conceal)
The supplement industry has a transparency problem. While almost every brand claims its products are "rigorously tested" or "quality assured," very few actually show the concrete figures. Often, product pages only display seals and logos from certification bodies – but without the corresponding lab reports, these symbols remain empty promises.
In Germany and the EU, there are legal minimum requirements for food supplements, but tests beyond these are voluntary. Many manufacturers do carry out internal quality controls, but do not have these results verified by independent laboratories. Others do commission external institutes but do not publish the results publicly – either for fear of competitive disadvantages or because the results are not perfect.
The problem is: as a customer, you cannot verify whether a product is truly free of harmful substances. You have to trust blindly. It was precisely this lack of information that Rebuilt Performance wanted to address. That's why we decided to make all test results of our Pure Greens™ product completely transparent – including the exact measurements for pesticides, heavy metals, bacteria, and molds.
This decision was not self-evident. It means we have to face all criticism and account for every limit value. But that's exactly the point: those who have nothing to hide can communicate openly. And those who communicate openly build genuine trust.
Rebuilt Performance Lab Tests — All Results in Detail
Our Pure Greens™ product has been extensively tested by the independent laboratory Dr. Graner & Partner GmbH. This accredited institute operates according to the highest scientific standards and has no business connections with Rebuilt Performance. The tests conducted cover all relevant contaminant categories important for plant-based dietary supplements.
Pesticides (22 tested, all passed)
Pesticides are chemical substances used in conventional agriculture to protect plants from pests. Since our Pure Greens™ consists of various plant-based raw materials, a comprehensive pesticide residue analysis was essential.
Dr. Graner & Partner GmbH laboratory tested a total of 22 different pesticide active ingredients, including commonly used substances such as glyphosate, chlorpyrifos, DDT residues, and other organophosphates and pyrethroids. Every one of these 22 tests was concluded with a "passed" rating – meaning that either no residues were detectable or the measured values were well below the legal limits.
The glyphosate test, which has been controversially discussed in recent years, was particularly important to us. Here too, the result was clearly in the green. These clean test results are the outcome of careful raw material selection and close cooperation with our suppliers, who prioritize sustainable cultivation methods.
Bacteria (7 types tested, all passed)
Microbiological contamination is a common problem with plant-based powder products, especially when raw materials come from different climate zones. We had our Pure Greens™ tested for seven different types and groups of bacteria: Aerobic mesophilic count, enterobacteria, Escherichia coli, salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, and clostridia.
All seven microbiological tests passed. This specifically means that bacterial counts were consistently below the permissible guideline values and no pathogenic (disease-causing) bacteria could be detected. This result confirms that our production and storage conditions meet the highest hygiene standards.
Salmonella and E. coli are particularly critical, as they can lead to health problems if processing is insufficient. The proof that these pathogens are not present gives you the assurance that you can use Pure Greens™ daily without concerns.
Heavy Metals (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Arsenic — all below limit)
Heavy metals are naturally occurring elements that can accumulate in plants through soil and water. Even with organic farming, complete avoidance is not always possible – the key is that concentrations remain well below critical thresholds.
The laboratory examined the four most important heavy metals: lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic. All four measured values were significantly below the legal limits of EU Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006. Specifically, this means:
- Lead: Significantly below 3.0 mg/kg
- Cadmium: Significantly below 1.0 mg/kg
- Mercury: Not detectable or below the detection limit
- Arsenic (inorganic): Significantly below the guideline value for plant-based foods
These low heavy metal values are particularly important because heavy metals can accumulate in the body. When taking a dietary supplement daily, it is essential that these values are as low as possible. Our test results show that Pure Greens™ poses no risks in this regard.
Mould & Fungi (all passed)
Moulds and yeasts can occur in plant powders if raw materials are not properly dried or stored. Certain types of mould also produce mycotoxins – toxic metabolic products that can be harmful to health.
The Dr. Graner & Partner GmbH laboratory determined the total number of yeasts and moulds, and also specifically tested for critical mycotoxins such as aflatoxins and ochratoxin A. All tests were rated "passed". The measured germ counts were in the uncritical range, and toxic mycotoxins were not detectable.
This result confirms that our supply chain, from harvesting to processing and bottling, is continuously controlled. This is the only way to guarantee that moisture and contamination have no chance.
Dr. Graner & Partner GmbH — who is behind the tests?
Transparency doesn't just mean publishing results – it also means disclosing who determined those results. Our testing laboratory, Dr. Graner & Partner GmbH, is an independent, accredited testing institute based in Germany, which has been conducting analyses for the food and pharmaceutical industries for over 60 years.
The laboratory is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 – the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. This accreditation is granted by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) and is regularly reviewed. It guarantees that all analyses are carried out according to scientifically recognized methods and under strict quality controls.
Important for the credibility of our tests: Dr. Graner & Partner GmbH has no business connection whatsoever with Rebuilt Performance. It is a completely independent institute that works exclusively on a contractual basis. The laboratory has no financial incentives to deliver specific results – on the contrary, its reputation depends on providing precise and unadulterated data.
This independence is the core of true quality assurance. Internally conducted tests or analyses by laboratories belonging to the same corporate group can always raise suspicions of conflicts of interest.
